Using wire EDM we are able to cut your designs from sketches or CAD drawings.
Several types of extrusion can be supplied with no tooling cost, where a tool is required a typical lead time is 10 working days from order.
WHAT IS PROFILE EXTRUSION?
Silicone extrusion is the process whereby silicone rubber is forced through a shaped die with your chosen design to produce continuous square, rectangular strips, hollow shapes in a various silicone rubbers.
Silicone typically shows a huge improvement over other materials maintaining their functions at -60c to +300c – they last longer, come in a multitude of colours to RAL, Pantone, British Standards, or colour matched and will stand up to a wider variety of environmental conditions. We can produce simple extrusions, or supply custom profiles with fibreglass inserts in complex cross-sections.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT PROFILE
For material selection we can advise on which grade of rubber will be best for your application. Have a look at our standard profile designs below for ‘D’ sections , flap seals, inflatable seals, ‘P’ tapes, and glazing channel seals to add to your owns ideas. These profiles can be supplied in coils, cut lengths or fabricated into rings of various sizes using silicone joining equipment. For prototypes we can sign non disclosure agreements with you to protect your projects.
Where you have a design in place, we can manufacture direct from your drawings or existing samples or products using reverse-engineering techniques.
