Viton Sheeting

VITON SHEETING OTHERWISE KNOWN EITHER AS FLUOROELASTOMER OR FKM IS A MATERIAL HIGHLY RESISTANT TO SEVERE CHEMICAL CONTACT WHILE MAINTAINING A WIDE OPERATING TEMPERATURE RANGE. IT IS A CHOICE MATERIAL FOR HOSTILE ENVIRONMENTS.

WITH SEVERAL DIFFERENT GRADES, THIS MATERIAL CAN BE ADAPTED WITH CHANGES IN FLUORINATION FOR DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS AND ENVIRONMENTS.

It is widely used for stand-alone sheet products as well as punching seals / gaskets from using die, knife and waterjet cutting equipment.

Viton® sheeting is supplied in cut-to-length sheets or in roll form 1.0-1.1m wide x 2-10 metres long and thicknesses from 0.5mm to 25mm. Shore hardness range from 55 to 90 with 70 shore being a common available grade.

Different types of optimised fluoroelastomer (FKM) sheeting exist according to the end use. Common environments for this material are in heavy industries such as oil and petrochemical refineries, steel works and industrial chemical plants.

Features

Fluoroelastomer offers higher resistance from swelling than other rubber materials available, improved steam resistance and abrasion resistance are also common with components produced in this material.

Temperature Range

Depending on your choice of material, temperature ranges from -25°C to +230°C
